AGA’S HOUSE by Lendita Zeqiraj will be part of CINE BALKAN competition at CINEDAYS Festival of European Films, to be held from 7 – 15 November 2019, in Skopje, North Macedonia.
Back in 2001, on the initiative of the Spanish director Pedro Almodovar and Viviane Reding, serving at that time as a European Commissioner for Education and Culture, CINEDAYS was established as an idea of ‘celebrating the European cinematography’ in each of the major European capitals. Since then, only in Skopje, CINEDAYS evolved from a ‘week of celebrating the European cinema’ to a true, well established and recognized festival of European film. In 2018, CINEDAYS was recognized by FIAPF and was accredited as “Competitive film festival specialized in European first and second feature films”.
The Festival is dedicated to promotion of young and talented European authors in two large competitive selections, as well as screening the latest achievements by the most awarded and acclaimed European directors. CINEDAYS Festival of European film is the largest film festival in Macedonia.

“AGA’S HOUSE” by Lendita Zeqiraj will have it’s Spanish Premiere at 61st ZINEBI Bilbao International Film Festival, as part of Zinebi First Film International Competition, to be held from 8 – 15 November 2019, in Bilbao, Spain.
ZINEBI is the only Class-A international festival in Spain that has been acknowledged by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producer Associations) under the documentary and short film category since 1974. ZINEBI has also been accredited by the Hollywood Academy as a qualifier for the Oscars and is a qualifier for the BAFTAs awarded by the British cinema industry and for the Spanish Goyas.
Every year, the ZINEBI programme finds room for all kinds of stylistic formats, the most creative, innovative and suggestive audiovisual formats, and emerging directors of contemporary film from all around the world, so that each new festival renews its commitment to exploring new film territories, formal experimentation, the hybrid and interdisciplinary condition of new cinematographic productions and film-makers’ ethical and aesthetic investigation into the complex realities of the world in which we live. Ljubljana International Film Festival (also known as LIFFe) is an international film festival established in 1990 and held annually in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Apart from screenings of Slovenian films, it also regularly features renowned authors’ film retrospectives, international independent film programs and a short films competition.
“AGA’S HOUSE” by Lendita Zeqiraj will have its German Premiere as part of Feature Film Competition at Film Festival Cottbus, to be held from 5 – 10 November 2019.
The FilmFestival Cottbus was first held in 1991 in the immediate post-reunification era and is regarded as the most important festival of Eastern European Cinema worldwide. The host city of Cottbus is located 120 km southeast of Berlin and is a gateway to the east, only a few miles away from the border to Poland in the bilingual (German/Sorbian) Lausitz region in the state of Brandenburg.
Every year, filmmakers, producers and actors from Eastern and Central Europe meet in Cottbus. The film industry platform “connecting cottbus” plays an important role in bringing together filmmakers, producers and potential financiers. It even pushes some projects from the first idea to the actual film. FilmFestival Cottbus is a hallmark as a consumer and industry meeting alike.

“AGA’S HOUSE” by Lendita Zeqiraj will have it’s Italian Premiere at Alice nella città an independent and parallel section of Rome International Film Festival.
The event, planned to take place in Rome from Oct. the 17th to 27th 2019, aims to open new and more articulate chapters of his own idea of cinema dedicated to young people, through screenings, encounters and chances to confront. During his previous editions Alice nella città has been marked out by an always increasing growth not only in terms of audience but most of all for what concerns the spotlight dedicated to Alice nella città by the government institutions, the press, the media, the schools, the families and by young people of different ages, that can find themselves represented by a cultural project completely dedicated to them.
“AGA’S HOUSE” by Lendita Zeqiraj will have it’s Turkish Premiere as part of International Competition at International Bosphorus Film Festival, to be held from 15 – 25 October 2019 in Istanbul.
The International Bosphorus Film Festival, organized by the International Bosphorus Cinema Association (IBCA) aims to provide a contribution to the development of ethics, aesthetics and technical cohesive movies, the funding and motivation in the creation to young producers and directors for producing new films, and to promote the cinema in the country and abroad.
