AGA’S HOUSE, Croatian Premiere at 67th PULA FILM FESTIVAL

AGA’S HOUSE” by Lendita Zeqiraj is set to have its Croatian Premiere at 67th PULA FILM FESTIVAL, in a Minority Co-Production Competition section. Pula Film Festival, established in 1954. It is held in a Roman amphitheater known as the Pula Arena. Pula Film Festival is the oldest film festival in Croatia and Balkan region, this year edition will be held from 18th to 26th July 2020.

Apart from film screenings open to the public, the annual Croatian film industry awards are also traditionally presented at the festival. The awards presented at the festival (called Golden Arenas) are the main national film awards in the country and they serve as the Croatian equivalent of the American Academy Awards, British BAFTA Awards, Spain’s Goya Awards, France’s César Award, etc.

“Aga’s House” wins big at 4th Aswan Int’l Women’s Film Festival

“Aga’s House” by Lendita Zeqiraj won big at the fourth edition of the Aswan International Women’s Film Festival (AIWFF), which ended after a week-long run attended by dozens of Egyptian and international filmmakers and critics.

“Aga’s House” was named Best Feature Film, its maker Lendita Zeqiraj won Best Director, and its star Rozafa Celaj was named Best Actress, film also won the Jury’s critics award by Egyptian Film Critics Association.

Aga’s House – Egyptian Premiere @ Aswan International Women Film Festival

Aga’s House by Lendita Zeqiraj will have its Egyptian Premiere at Aswan International Women Film Festival to be held from February 10th – 16th, 2020.

Established in 2017 by Mohamed Abdel Khaled, Aswan International Women Film Festival has quickly become one of Egypt’s premier film events. It is conducted in coordination between the Egyptian ministries of culture and tourism, under the supervision of the National Council for Women. The festival attracts an international audience of celebrities and politicians from the Arab world and beyond.

Aga's House – Nordic Premiere @ Göteborg Film Festival

Aga’s House by Lendita Zeqiraj will have its Nordic Premiere at prestigious Göteborg Film Festival to be held from January 24th – February 3rd 2020.

In 43 years, Göteborg Film Festival has developed and grown strong and today is the largest film festival in the Nordic countries and the most important annual meeting place in the Nordic film industry.

Today, the film festival is also one of the biggest cultural events in Sweden and the audience’s response testifies to the fact that the event has found its place in both hearts and minds. What once started as a bold dream of two cineasts has become a stable and appreciated part of Swedish cultural life and a significant player in the international film industry.

The festival runs for eleven days during the month of January-February and attracts around 160,000 visitors. During the festival period, about 450 films from some 80 countries will be shown in about 1,000 screenings.

AGA’S HOUSE by Lendita Zeqiraj won OUTSTANDING ACTRESS AWARD for its female ensamble at Film Festival Cottbus in Germany. Director Lendita Zeqiraj received award in the name of her cast, Rozafa Celaj, Adriana Matoshi, Shengyl Ismaili, Melihate Qena and Molike Maxhuni.

Spanish Premiere of AGA’S HOUSE at ZINEBI Bilbao International Film Festival

“AGA’S HOUSE” by Lendita Zeqiraj will have it’s Spanish Premiere at 61st ZINEBI Bilbao International Film Festival, as part of Zinebi First Film International Competition, to be held from 8 – 15 November 2019, in Bilbao, Spain.

ZINEBI is the only Class-A international festival in Spain that has been acknowledged by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producer Associations) under the documentary and short film category since 1974. ZINEBI has also been accredited by the Hollywood Academy as a qualifier for the Oscars and is a qualifier for the BAFTAs awarded by the British cinema industry and for the Spanish Goyas.

Every year, the ZINEBI programme finds room for all kinds of stylistic formats, the most creative, innovative and suggestive audiovisual formats, and emerging directors of contemporary film from all around the world, so that each new festival renews its commitment to exploring new film territories, formal experimentation, the hybrid and interdisciplinary condition of new cinematographic productions and film-makers’ ethical and aesthetic investigation into the complex realities of the world in which we live.
